VISUAL ART BY EMMANUEL DE LA PAIX
The album The Physics of Clouds (next release date 14th March 2024) is a concept album inspired by my visual art research.
My reworked imagines represent the perfection beyond the reality. In a certain sense, I capture space-time portals: some places are particularly evocative and the beauty of those places cannot be captured by a human eye or a camera. With my work, I wanted to capture the invisible, the hidden place sliding down in this fleeting further dimension. My intend is to capture an additional dimension that consists in the unique feeling of being connected to the eternal, to the Universe.
Because our human eye can easily perceive a sense of perfection when using symmetry (like in the form of a square or a circle), with mirrored imagines I can get hold of the complexity and tap into this modern and popular paradigm.

Thanks to the teachings of my father, a student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, I was introduced to the most traditional and disparate techniques since I was a child, until I came to know, at a more mature age, the Rudolf Steiner method.
Through the movement that belongs to each single color (watercolour), images materialize on the sheet, sometimes connected to an intimate conversation and spiritual research!
Often influenced by this philosophy, which does not set limits dictated by a preliminary design, I leave it up to the simple flow of color to create the conditions for a potential image.
Always prompted by an inexhaustible curiosity, but also to fill some gaps in my self-taught nature, I attended various courses: technical drawing and perspective, cold wax and encaustic.
I am always looking for new stimuli and ways of mixing different techniques, I experiment, try and try again and, on this occasion, I present some of the latest works made with ink, watercolor and pastel.

Our iinstallations are composed by a music digital visualizer and soundtracks's from Emmanuel personalized for the exhibition and the limited editions prints from Patrizia Martin Rouge.
All prints are limited and exposed in sizes: 80x80cm / 32x32'' and 40x40cm /16x16''.
